2014 has been a year of first's for Swag-Zu. This last month Swag-Zu began to collaborate not only with style enthusiast but also purveyors of sartorial clothing and accoutrements. This has been something in work for some time now and we hope to reach and even wider audience with these strategic collaborations in future. Hopefully you will be inspired to by the retailers we target for these collaborations. Soon we will be running promotions on the items we style for the retailers in future for added convenience. Also, for those who live in the Eastern Cape look out for my monthly style column in Hluma Magazine, Eastern Cape's Premier Business Publication.

Navy Blazer and Indigo Jeans My Alltime Favourite
The salesman who sold me this blazer had this to say about it, 'Yintonga yase khaya le', meaning its the house specialty. I could not agree more, Carducci makes seriously sick jackets and this blazer is tops in their line. Brass buttons just add that extra bit of understated class. look to pay nothing less then R2600 for this well crafted blazer.
I decided to pair it with the new tapered wrangler 'Ben' jeans they comfortable and well cut. Get yours at your local Edgars. Look to pay R750 per pair.
Double Breasted Elegance
I met the young gent at local bistro and I was quite taken by the hound's-tooth double breasted sports jacket he had on. So naturally I stopped him in his tracks and asked if he could join me at my table with his companion. It turned out he new me from one of the many sunglass shopping spree I embark upon at Sunglass hut and it also turned out he was a fellow sartorial enthusiast. So we broke bread and waxed lyrical about the many virtues of double breasted sports jackets, check suits and shoes in general - it was heaven. So below is a few of the pictures I managed to take. (excuse the poor quality)

It's a Family Affair
My cute, 3yr old nephew insisted that we take pictures of him showing of his new haircut...guess it, runs in the family.
I'm generally not a huge fan of metallic sand iridescent suits but this one worked well.
Ox Blood and Silver/Grey really work well together, reminds of a blade with blood on it...but that's just me.

OLD FRIENDS
Last week we did this shoot hoping to get vision, I had for some time , into a reality which is a vintage train station scene. For some reason trains and train stations inspire thoughts of romantic times gone by. This time it was no different. we got some terrific shots and please don't hesitate to weigh in on what you think these.
Thanks again to Awonke from SaveAge Photography for the awesome quality shoots.
I went for the country traveller look underpinned by: A Knitted sports jacket; Maroon and ochre regimental tie with a gold tie bar on a white shirt; Brown pinstripe slacks; and derby boots.
Mtetho is wearing: A Classic ox blood sports jacket; with a white shirt with a checkered tie and blue pocket square; washed navy chinos; and two tone oxford lace-ups.

MY FIRST COLLABORATION WITH SIMPHIWE NAMA ( AWESOME STUFF! )
* We are wearing tweed jackets with denim jeans and loafers *
* I've got a paisley silk tie and pocket square on a red and white check shirt *
The winters here in South Africa, and particular in the coast, can be quite menacing however they compare rather favourably with winters elsewhere in the western and northern regions of the world. That being said Simphiwe and I decided to do a more middle of the path winter shoot, since it rarely snows in this part of the world, to showcase our personal winter style. The wardrobe is strictly our own. Winter is typically sartorially favourable season of the year, we hope we have done it justice. Enjoy.

* Here we are showing off our interpretation of a black&white
outfit *
* It can age you and look rather dull but I think we managed to pull it off *
* Here Nama and I took black denim and paired it with a vintage double breasted blazer and a tweed sport coat*
* I think Nama did exceptionally well with that blazer *
* Love the leopard print pocket square with this blazer *
* How elegant is that peak lapel? Damn Chap! *

*We decided to freestyle this round and we made magic*
* I love floral ties, they just soften the look and make more elegant *
* Two distinct gentlemen, Two distinct styles *
* There is nothing more suave than a well made jacket and waste coat *
